Biography
Amsalu Anagaw received his B.Sc. in Applied Physics from Addis Ababa University in Ethiopia, M.Sc. in Physics and Geophysics from University of Alberta, department of Physics, Canada. Currently, he is working towards his PhD degree in Geophysics at the University of Alberta. His main research area is Full Waveform Inversion.
Research Interests
My current research is focused on Full waveform Inversion (FWI) of conventional shot gathers and simultaneous or blended source shot gathers. My research focused on the Newton type based algorithms such as Gauss-Newton and full Newton. My MSc research has been mainly focused on seismic imaging and reverse time migration.
